Describe Yourself:
Lisa Gensheimer is a documentary producer and writer. Her career spans more than 30 years in newspaper and magazine publishing, corporate public relations, heritage tourism, and television. She and her husband, Rich Gensheimer, produce documentaries for national distribution on television, and multi-media programming for the web. They are not opposed to strapping themselves into a Vietnam-era helicopter to gain a new perspective, following in the footsteps of runaway slaves, or sawing a woman in half to understand the power of magic. Lisa is the author of Pennsylvania Wilds: Images from the Allegheny National Forest (Forest Press, 2006) an illustrated history and fine art photography book featuring the work of Ed Bernik. Her column, The Culinary Tourist, appears twice a month on Gather's travel channel.
